East Extramural Area: July 12, 2007

Katy’s corner (left side of photo) is definitive and upon reaching the floor surface interface, she also uncovered several large sherds of St. John’s polychrome and a piece of selenite- perhaps used in ritually closing the structure.  Angela, in the westmost trench (top of photo) is attempting to clear up to the original two-course wall.  My wall chase (right side of photo) continues with ambiguous results:  two overlying stones perpendicular to the wall alignment are perhaps a bonded corner, but some flat lying stones just south (left) of them also show possibility as the sought after corner.
