Fieldwork

One of my goals for the public outreach component of HUROP was to discuss the process of doing archaeology. To document the process of our excavations, we created two on-line journals. Entries include weekly pictures of  our excavations and a description of our findings written by the students during the field season. The 2007 journal is from our second season at the late 12th and early 13th century Creswell Pueblo. The 2008 season chronicals our excavations at AZ J:14:36, a pithouse village that overlaps in occuaption with Creswell Pueblo and is located in back of the Homol’ovi Ruins State Park visitors center.
